Green Schools are promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility. They focus on reducing energy consumption, minimising waste, and improving air and water quality through eco-friendly building designs and practices. Green Schools integrate environmental education into their curriculum, teaching students about conservation, climate change, and sustainable living. Green schools often feature solar panels, energy-efficient lighting, rainwater harvesting systems, and natural ventilation. By fostering a connection with nature, they aim to create healthier learning environments and inspire future generations to become environmentally conscious citizens.
In Wilson's, the Green Schools committee comprises of student members from 1st year to 6th year and staff members.
Currently, we are working on the 1st green flag which is the waste flag. Students collect the recycling bins from classrooms every Thursday morning during Tutor time. The school has two recycling bins in each classroom and common areas in the school: blue bins for paper and white bins for plastics.
